Chat channels
Press Enter (or tap the chat bar on a phone), type and press Enter again.

Messages appear in tabs at the bottom of the screen; private conversations get their own tab. The Chat Log keeps your chat history on your device, with search and export.
Friends and ignore
Open the Social window from the side menu. It shows players Online, your Friends, your Guild and players you Ignore.
- Add a friend: right-click them and choose Friend, or use Add Friend in the Social window. You can see when friends are online.
- Whisper a friend straight from the list.
- Ignore someone to stop seeing their messages.
Chat settings
Settings › Social lets you choose who may send you Whispers, Trade Requests and Party Requests (everyone, friends only or nobody), and turn the Profanity Filter on or off.
Be kind
Harassment, hate speech, scams and spam are against the rules. Report them with Report in the player menu or the Report a Player page.
