Hula Guardian

The Hula Guardian guards the waters of the Aeven Fishing Docks. It is a community boss: instead of one winner, everyone who helps is rewarded.

When it appears

When it rises, everyone on the docks sees “The waters begin to shake! The Hula Guardian has appeared!”. If nobody defeats it in time, “The Hula Guardian sinks back beneath the waves...” and it comes back later.

How the fight works

• It rises out of the water by the docks.
• It attacks with a splash, a wave and a spin. Each does only 1–2 damage, so even new characters can join safely.
• It has 400 HP. Many players together defeat it quickly.
• Fishing stops while you fight; pick up your rod again afterwards.

Rewards

When it is defeated, every player who did at least 3 % of its damage receives:

• 1,000 gold and 2,000 experience, and
• a 10 % chance of the Hula Hula Hat.

Each player is rewarded once per appearance. If you did not do enough damage, the game tells you how much was needed. The player who lands the final blow also gets the normal drop roll every monster has:

Drops of Hula Guardian

Item	Amount	Chance	Roughly	Rarity	Notes
Alduin	1	10%	about 1 in 10	Uncommon	Every monster
Halloween Candy	1–3	2.44%	about 1 in 41	Rare	Halloween only rolled separately, straight into your bag

One kill gives at most one of the regular drops (the rarest is tried first). Chance of no regular drop: 90%. Pet and seasonal drops are extra rolls on every kill. Items are protected for the player who made the kill for a short time.

Tactics

• Bring friends: the more players hit it, the faster it falls before it sinks back.
• Pets do not attack it (pets never attack bosses), so your own hits are what count.
• The low damage makes it a great boss for beginners.
